flab2ab Sports massage

Massage has many benefits, both physical and psychological. It is an ideal way of minimising the risk of developing injuries and aches and pains by reliving tight muscles and improving blood flow.

It also plays an important part in injury rehabilitation whether recent or long term. It breaks down scar tissue restoring normal pain free mobility.

Why Sports Massage?

Minor injuries can lead to more serious conditions if not treated properly - massage can treat most minor injuries quickly and effectively.

Sports Massage consists of a variety of stroking movements, usually carried out with the palm of the hand and fingers, which may be used with varying pressure according to the purpose and stage reached during the massage. Sometimes more painful movements are used, for example, when breaking down scar tissue.

  • Reduce muscle stiffness
  • Reduce pain & fatigue
  • Increase flexibility & range of movement
  • Improvement of balance between muscles
  • Improve posture
  • Reduce stress levels
  • Increase mental alertness
